The latest advert from Aviva is worth a watch.  Norwich Union’s name change is generating some strong opinions so without concentrating on the adverts purpose and marketing strategy I want to highlight the following words of wisdom…


  • I am not a customer reference number
  • I am not a target market
  • Always remember who’s money it is
  • Take me seriously
  • Don’t clutter your language with corporate jargon
  • Don’t treat me like an idiot
  • Remember me
  • Just recognise me

This is what everybody wants when using a service. This is what those providing a service need to truly understand.
